Once the paperwork has been completed, secuirty deposit paid and the rental agreements signed, a memeber of the Wests Motorhome hire team will show you around your campervan or motorhome.
We will show you how to operate all of the functions and facilities on board your camper. Don’t be afraid to ask any questions, even if you think they’re silly, we will have heard them before, and don’t be too embarrassed to make a few notes, there will be a lot of information to take in.
  • On your motorhome check-out tour we will show you how to use:
  • The motorhome keys (cab/ingnition key, habitation door key and external lockers key)
  • The driving controls
  • Dash board controls
  • Gas locker (and that you know how to use the gas and how to replace a bottle)

  • The fresh water-filler cap (be careful not to get the water and fuel caps mixed up)
  • The waste-water tap/lever
  • The fresh-water drain tap (only if you’re touring during the winter, as you might need to drain down the water tank in case it freezes)
  • The toilet-cassette hatch (and that you know how to empty the toilet cassette)
  • The electric hook-up point (and how to connect and disconnect the mains to the campervan or motorhome)
  • The bike rack
  • The sun awning
  • The campervan or motorhome control panel
  • The refridgerator

Together we will also check over the campervan or motorhome for damage thoroughly before you set off. Any damage inside and outside will be noted on the rental check-out and check-in sheet agreement, to cover yourself against potential issues when returning the camper van or motor home.
The diesel fuel is expected to be at the same level as when you collected it (the level is also noted on your rental agreement), a fuel penalty charge applies if you return with the fuel under.
When you return the camper van or motorhome, please ensure it is clean and tidy inside (as received upon collection) with the toilet and cassette cleaned and emptied. Remove all your personal belongings and clean external lockers.
You do not need to wash the exterior of the vehicle.
Cleaning facilities are available at our London depot should you require them.  Please call us on 01708 556237 to advise us and arrive at least 1 hour before your check in time, should you need to use this facility.
